So its not everyday that Superbowl happens 9 miles from your house. Sadly, the week leading up to superbowl was terrible. Tons of ice, negative temperature wind chills, and SNOW. We had 4 snow days. Wish I was a kid in school. That would have been the best week ever!!!!
Even though Superbowl was so close to our house, we were not able to attend, but certainly enjoyed all the festivities that happened around town. The day of the Superbowl, Michael and I headed over to downtown Ft.Worth to check out the ESPN football field set up as well as all the other ESPN spots in Sundance Square. After taking a gander at all the crazies walking around the area, we went to Blaine and Andrea's house to watch the superbowl /commercials with the rest of our small group.
Below are a few pics to capture the day. And as usual, I am obsessed with taking pictures of Michael and I. Enjoy our faces :)
I am sitting upstairs editing photos when I hear the sound of lawn mowers. Since it a beautiful day, I don't think much about it, as most people would be mowing their lawns on a day like today. But then I am reminded that just before my husband headed downstairs, he said he was going to mow. With that thought I quickly grabbed my camera and headed outside to get a picture of my MAN CANDY doing some yard work.
There is nothing sexier than my Michael doing manly chores...YUM YUM....
He looks delicious
This was the mail we got today :)
Everyone has unique qualities about themselves. We all do things that others find odd or abnormal. Sometimes our habits are downright hilarious. When you get married, you really notice the other persons habits. Good or bad, you are stuck with those traits. If you want a happy marriage, you'll learn to love or accept the habits. If not, chances are, things may not be too pleasant in your house.
My Michael has a particular habit I find endearing and a little silly. He does not have a routine for the whole day...just when he wakes in the morning. Michael, wakes up, throws shampoo in his hair, gets dressed, scoots past the unmade bed, the kitchen, and almost skips to the mail box where he quickly reaches in and grabs all the wonderful delights the mailman has left us.
Michael quickly returns to the house with mail in hand, finds a cozy place (bed, table, couch, etc.) and goes through each piece of mail one at a time. Here is the best part. He has to start from the top and move his way down to the last piece. He never looks through the mail to see whats there. The rule is: One piece at a time and no skipping ahead. In fact, I am not allowed to tell him where pieces of mail came from or who they are from. He is like a little kid in a candy shop who has $20 to spend on sugary goodness. His whole face is lit up with joy....
Its rather cute to watch him do this everyday. No matter the weather, his mood, or how many times chunk (our cat) woke him up, he is a happy man when he is opening the mail.
So, if you would like to add to my husbands joy, please send him a fun card or letter in the mail. It would brighten his day.

In our couples small group and we noticed how giggly married couples are about Sex. I never thought that married people would still find it uncomfortable to talk about sex, but I guess so.
Michael and I dont giggle. Its actually one of the areas where we communicate best. Since we've been covering the topic of sex these past couple weeks, I thought it be appropriate to toss out a semi-true song about sex. - Enjoy
Please be advised....you will laugh your heart out...HILARIOUS!
