How do you do "I do"

So its not everyday that Superbowl happens 9 miles from your house. Sadly, the week leading up to superbowl was terrible. Tons of ice, negative temperature wind chills, and SNOW. We had 4 snow days. Wish I was a kid in school. That would have been the best week ever!!!!

Even though Superbowl was so close to our house, we were not  able to attend, but certainly enjoyed all the festivities that happened around town. The day of the Superbowl, Michael and I headed over to downtown Ft.Worth to check out the ESPN football field set up as well as all the other ESPN spots in Sundance Square. After taking a gander at all the crazies walking around the area, we went to Blaine and Andrea's house to watch the superbowl /commercials with the rest of our small group.

Below are a few pics to capture the day. And as usual, I am obsessed with taking pictures of Michael and I. Enjoy our faces :)

This morning I woke up to Michael's excited smile telling me "I have a surprise for you". While I was sleeping last night, he hand made me an Easter Basket. He made with a used box, paper and markers.

I was tickled to get the basket. It was so cute. He decorated it with all the things I like. The handle of the basket read, "Happy Easter to my Beautiful Bride and Best Friend". Inside the basket were two Pieces of paper. The first read, "A Dozen Reasons why I love you". The back side read, "uh-oh, the eggs got scattered all over the house! Find them to discover just 12 of the thousands of reasons why Michael loves Aurora"!

The other paper read, "HINTS..do not open unless you can't find them all..."
Well, seeing how it was early in the morning and I was anxious to get more shut eye, I read the HINT list. Here is what it said when I opened it.
  • by Michael's night ringer
  • gimme that filet o' fish
  • where michael goes poo
  • shave and a haircut
  • rub-a-dub-dub
  • where coupons come out
  • where coupons are stored
  • Michael's fav time is...
  • a dry place I haven't seen in 5 months....
  • smoothie supplies
  • former freebie storage
  • our first kiss
Thankfully he gave me good clues because I knew all the answers. Here are the answers from top to bottom: his work phone upstairs, our fish's name is fillet..egg was behind the tank, michael uses one particular bathroom upstairs when he is working, his medicine cabinet, our master bathtub, his printer, kitchen drawer, mailbox outside, the dryer, freezer, upstairs linen closet, couch in media room.

Inside each of the eggs was a note and symbol to represent the note. For example, one note read, "I love you because you deal with my coupons and play my games". Inside the egg with the note was a token from an arcade we frequent and a coupon from the paper.

Michael is so sweet. A very kind and gentle spirit. I adore him so much. It was one of the sweetest most loving things he has done for me. I love my Michael.

Below are photos of my basket and the eggs.

Happy Resurrection Day!

I am sitting upstairs editing photos when I hear the sound of lawn mowers. Since it a beautiful day, I don't think much about it, as most people would be mowing their lawns on a day like today. But then I am reminded that just before my husband headed downstairs, he said he was going to mow. With that thought I quickly grabbed my camera and headed outside to get a picture of my MAN CANDY doing some yard work.
There is nothing sexier than my Michael doing manly chores...YUM YUM....

This was the mail we got today :)
Everyone has unique qualities about themselves. We all do things that others find odd or abnormal. Sometimes our habits are downright hilarious. When you get married, you really notice the other persons habits. Good or bad, you are stuck with those traits. If you want a happy marriage, you'll learn to love or accept the habits. If not, chances are, things may not be too pleasant in your house.

My Michael has a particular habit I find endearing and a little silly. He does not have a routine for the whole day...just when he wakes in the morning. Michael, wakes up, throws shampoo in his hair, gets dressed, scoots past the unmade bed, the kitchen, and almost skips to the mail box where he quickly reaches in and grabs all the wonderful delights the mailman has left us.

Michael quickly returns to the house with mail in hand, finds a cozy place (bed, table, couch, etc.) and goes through each piece of mail one at a time. Here is the best part. He has to start from the top and move his way down to the last piece. He never looks through the mail to see whats there. The rule is: One piece at a time and no skipping ahead. In fact, I am not allowed to tell him where pieces of mail came from or who they are from. He is like a little kid in a candy shop who has $20 to spend on sugary goodness. His whole face is lit up with joy....

Its rather cute to watch him do this everyday. No matter the weather, his mood, or how many times chunk (our cat) woke him up, he is a happy man when he is opening the mail.

So, if you would like to add to my husbands joy, please send him a fun card or letter in the mail. It would brighten his day.

In our couples small group and we noticed how giggly married couples are about Sex. I never thought that married people would still find it uncomfortable to talk about sex, but I guess so.

Michael and I dont giggle. Its actually one of the areas where we communicate best. Since we've been covering the topic of sex these past couple weeks, I thought it be appropriate to toss out a semi-true song about sex. - Enjoy

Please be advised....you will laugh your heart out...HILARIOUS!
