How do you do "I do"

Because I work from home, I often spend the middle parts of my day listening/watching a little TV while I edit. My favorite show to watch is Family Feud. I realize that 29 year olds should not watch this show, but I can't help it. Ever since they added Steve Harvey as the new host...I laugh so hard. This stuff is FUNNY!  Just to give you a taste of what I'm talking about, check out this clip from a recent episode.  After watching this, you can't possibly make fun of me for watching. You'll probably jump on the bandwagon well. Enjoy!

So its not everyday that Superbowl happens 9 miles from your house. Sadly, the week leading up to superbowl was terrible. Tons of ice, negative temperature wind chills, and SNOW. We had 4 snow days. Wish I was a kid in school. That would have been the best week ever!!!!

Even though Superbowl was so close to our house, we were not  able to attend, but certainly enjoyed all the festivities that happened around town. The day of the Superbowl, Michael and I headed over to downtown Ft.Worth to check out the ESPN football field set up as well as all the other ESPN spots in Sundance Square. After taking a gander at all the crazies walking around the area, we went to Blaine and Andrea's house to watch the superbowl /commercials with the rest of our small group.

Below are a few pics to capture the day. And as usual, I am obsessed with taking pictures of Michael and I. Enjoy our faces :)

Several weeks ago, my grandpa-in-law, Papillia, spent a few days with us. He moves slow, loves sugar and goes all day long.

One morning I woke up and decided I was going to mow the lawn before I headed out for my run. When I told him I was going to be outside cutting grass, he quickly responded with, "I'll help". I figured he would sit on the front porch and watch me work. Instead he grabbed the lawn mower and went to town. It took him a few tries to get it started, but once he did, there was no stopping him.

Its so cute to watch him mow cause he was wearing his normal everyday garb; dress pants, dress shirt, wallet in back left packet, checkbook in back right pocket, and swiss army knife in the front pocket.

He moved a little slow, but he did the whole yard.

Later that day, I took him with me to the track as I ran. He walked around the whole thing 4 times (one mile), then he walked around Target with me, attended church with Michael and I and then finally off to the house for dinner and sleepy time. He was not affected one bit by all the activity.

86 is not an age, its an attitude. I vow to be just as awesome when I am his age. I love my new family, especially Papillia. They are all so unique and wonderful.
