How do you do "I do"

Several weeks ago, my grandpa-in-law, Papillia, spent a few days with us. He moves slow, loves sugar and goes all day long.

One morning I woke up and decided I was going to mow the lawn before I headed out for my run. When I told him I was going to be outside cutting grass, he quickly responded with, "I'll help". I figured he would sit on the front porch and watch me work. Instead he grabbed the lawn mower and went to town. It took him a few tries to get it started, but once he did, there was no stopping him.

Its so cute to watch him mow cause he was wearing his normal everyday garb; dress pants, dress shirt, wallet in back left packet, checkbook in back right pocket, and swiss army knife in the front pocket.

He moved a little slow, but he did the whole yard.

Later that day, I took him with me to the track as I ran. He walked around the whole thing 4 times (one mile), then he walked around Target with me, attended church with Michael and I and then finally off to the house for dinner and sleepy time. He was not affected one bit by all the activity.

86 is not an age, its an attitude. I vow to be just as awesome when I am his age. I love my new family, especially Papillia. They are all so unique and wonderful.
